About this Website

This website is the ongoing work of genealogist Suzanne Nagel.

URL History
A URL will live only as long as its private domain name is registered. If a domain name does not maintain its registration the URL will become invalid and the website will die. This can happen if the owner of the website should die. In an effort to avoid this website from becoming invalid the following steps have occurred :-
  • 2013 original URL lostgraves.historicalfamilies.com
  • 2018 URL reverted for posterity to its generic platform, currently eumungerie.weebly.com.
  • The private domain name www.eumungerie.com will forward to the current address and will operate whilst registered.
Suzanne's Connection to Eumungerie
Suzanne descends from Eumungerie pioneering stock, Wallace Salter (1862-1922), son of convict Henry Salter (1816-1892) and Margaret Steed (1822-1906). Wallace married Elizabeth Buck (1864-1918), daughter of pioneer George Buck of 'Rosehill' Dubbo and settled on 'Mountain View' Eumungerie. Their daughter, Margaret (1890-1987) married Thomas Lesslie (1877-1963) and settled on 'Dellaville' Eumungerie in 1912.

Suzanne's mother, Doris Nagel (1924-2009), operated the local newsagents/store on the corner of Emu and Railway Street Eumungerie from 1969 to 1985. The previous newsagents was located at the entrance of the town on Cobbocco Road and was destroyed by a fire during renovations on the night of 13th July 1968, sadly killing the owner Gregory Elworthy (1907-1968).
