The death occurred at Orange on Thursday last of Mrs Charlie Looney, more familarly known locally as Miss Hilda Cleaver. She leaves a sorrowing husband and one daughter. Deceased, who had been in failing health for some time  past, was the eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs W Cleaver, of Orange, late of Eumungerie. Sincere sympathy is extended to the bereaved husband and parents.

Mary LEY 1950
The 'Liberal' regrets that due to erroneous information, the surname of the late Mrs. Mary Elizaeth Anne Ley appeared as Mrs. Lee. in our obituary notices yesterday. Mrs. Ley, who died at the Dubbo Base Hospital on Monday at the age of 74, was the wife of the late Charles Ley. She was one of the oldest and most highly respected residents of Dubbo. Mrs. Ley was a postmistress at Eumungerie for many years, and comes from one of the oldest pioneering families in the district. Her son Phil died while a prisoner of war in Japanese hands. For some time Mrs. Ley had not enjoyed good health , and for several months last year was a patient at Nurse Farrell's Private Hospital.
